Dancespace 304 was founded in 1987, with classes being held in room 304 of the Wightman School Community Building. Dena Holland, the founder and director, has been teaching dance and movement in the Pittsburgh area for more than 35 years. She has studied and performed in Chicago, Paris and Pittsburgh. Dance workshops include study with Merce Cunningham, Loretto Rozak, Richard Arve, June Lewis and Robert Joffrey. Dena
has taught ballet, character dance, jazz, modern dance, hatha yoga and
classes for young children. She has taught at the Rozak Studio of Dance
in Chicago, Singer Learning Center in Monroeville, Irene Kaufmann Center
in Squirrel Hill, Community College of Allegheny County (various centers),
Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Carnegie Institute, Chatham College Music
& Arts Day Camp, John Heinz Family Center Camp and the Pittsburgh
Athletic Association. |
